Sammut Specialists Advanced Dental Clinic specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal problems, restorative dentistry, dental implants, and oral medicine. The premises at 57/4, St Lucia Street, in Valletta, has been the home of a dental practice since the 1950s. At the time, Dr Bertie Galea and Dr Anthony Cremona provided dental services for the staff of the British military forces and their families stationed in Malta. In the early 1980s the practice was taken over by Dr Robert Sammut and was later joined by his son Edward, who launched Sammut Specialists when he took over the running of the practice in 2011. Today, Edward runs the clinic with his wife Elizabeth Martinelli, and together they have greatly expanded on the staff complement and areas of expertise offered by bringing on board leading specialists in dental care. Sammut Specialists has established a strong identity as the leading referral practice for periodontics and restorative dentistry. The team works hand in hand with dentists across the islands, and have built a strong referral network to benefit patients and ensure they receive the best quality of dental care possible.
