Founded in 1965 through the merger of five amateur local league teams in Samsun, Samsunspor FC boasts a rich history marked by significant achievements and milestones. In 2018, Robert Yüksel YILDIRIM acquired full ownership of the Club, sparking a new era of progress. This momentum led to a TFF 1st League championship victory in the 2022/2023 season. After 11 years of absence, Samsunspor earned its long-awaited promotion to the Süper Lig. Samsunspor aims to become one of the top five sports clubs in Türkiye, surpassing well known and successful clubs, by tapping on both sport performance and influence off the football field. With strong ties to the city of Samsun and its communities, the Club represents the modern, progressive face of Turkish football, using the power of sports to unite people and nurture talent. Since 2023, Samsunspor FC has been part of Amissos Sports & Entertainment, a global multi-club ownership group specializing in football.
