Sanctuary Coaching & Counseling

Sanctuary offers counseling and coaching intensives for individuals, couples, and organizations who are navigating the stressors of leadership in a changing culture. Founded by Dori and Jim Halbert, a licensed professional counselor and church planter, teacher, and leadership coach, respectively. The mission of Sanctuary is to empower leaders to explore current challenges and determine steps for greater freedom and improved well-being. Sanctuary provides support across a wide range of concerns, including burnout, grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, and conflict resolution. A range of intensives are available, including leadership coaching (3 days), marriage coaching (1 day), and organizational training (half day, full day, or two days). Jim and Dori can also assist church leaders with pastoral succession planning. Sanctuary offers lodging for marriage and leadership intensives at The Rectory, an attached 375-square-foot apartment with a private entrance located in Nampa, Idaho. The property looks onto the Red Hawk Golf Course with unobstructed views of the Boise mountains and is close to wandering bike and walking trails, as well as access to Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge.
