Sane Driving

SANE DRIVING Traffic crashes are number one reason for teen fatality in North America with well over 50% crashes happening to reasons other than skills. Driving is a Social Norm before it is commute. Commuting is a daily affair with four out of five drivers driving daily and majority others commuting or crossing the street. Set up to reduce teen fatalities in the first year of licensure SaneDriving is a model approach to engage and educate teens on adopting safe driver behaviors both as a driver and as a passenger intrinsically through self-directed learning and change which creatively engages students through Art social validation and purpose meaning in life; based on unique methods that are creative class room exercises NOT involving the use of vehicles and evidence that is supported by science for each step. Sane Driving targets only those behaviors and attitudes not requiring skills training yet contribute to crashes and there is room that motivation can play. For example: Distracted driving; low seat belt use; drunk driving passenger behavior over speeding not paying attention to road signs and conditions not yielding tailgating wrong overtaking rage etc. Sane Driving is about that "switch" to an intrinsic right behavior why it occurs in some and how we can make it happen on scale based on proven science. Based upon established research Sane Driving is a model attempt to 1. Prevent crashes mishaps from happening by intrinsically cultivating or adoption of safe and pro-social habits at right age. 2. While driving or commuting we interact in many ways with our co inhabitants of our city or across places in a way that represents norms values and cultures of a place. Make people aware about the usefulness of this daily interaction when done correctly. Sane Driving targets to become center of best practice and share its program through publishing copyright and patent for individuals institutions and governments.
