Our name, SANHWE (pronounced san-shweh), means “take another look” in Twi, a Ghanaian dialect. It’s a powerful invitation to reimagine what’s possible when creativity, culture and sustainability come together. Founded by Ernestina Kobi, a Ghanaian entrepreneur with a Business Administration degree from Ashesi University, SANHWE is built on the intersection of science, agriculture, and art. With certifications in organic skincare formulation (UK) and natural perfumery (UK), our founder blends rigorous research with an intuitive love for scent, shaped by years of formulating with raw natural materials from across the globe. We are on a journey to transform post-harvest losses in Ghana into world-class natural, botanical perfumes (and other personal care products) and amplify our formulations by sourcing from trusted partners who work ethically with harvesters, primarily across Africa and beyond. We create in small, intentional batches, embodying luxury with a conscience.
