Sankofa Odyssey

We are a U.S. based travel group specializing in bare boating – also known as charter sailing. “Bareboat chartering" is a participatory means of travel/vacation where the captains, crew and all participants sail the boat together, cook together, and clean together. It is not a cruise. There are no waiters, maids or cooks. We love to sail and travel the world. As global citizens, we explore in a very non-tourist way by the fact that we interact and connect with our country hosts – often breaking bread together. Our adventure is typically 8 days long with optional land excursions before or after the sail. Our average group consists of 20 people and each boat tends to handle on average 10 people. Our mission is to provide a vacation experience that inspires the birth of the true explorers that we truly are while creating a greater understanding of the people and cultures of the world around us.
