Sarathi Social Foundation began its journey in August 2015 with a vision to reduce the health, social and economic vulnerability of the under-privileged families living in the slum areas. It started its activities from the slums of “Vitthalwadi” near New Mumbai in September 2015. With over 4 years and thousands of members getting benefitted from our programs, we now aim to make our awareness programs more sustainable. With the support of our French partner, ATIA (a NGO), we are now willing to extend our increased range of services to the deprived families to improve their livelihood. We believe, our awareness and skills development programs will help the under-privileged families to have sustained financial support for their livelihood. Our Integrated Programs: • Business Development Services • Health Services Programs • Family Development Programs • Skills Development / Vocational Training Programs • Self-Employment Programs Way forward: • Phase I – o Area of intervention chosen after a proper needs assessment survey. o Counseling services, Awareness and Skills Development Programs for selected families. o Showcase the benefits and spread the word of self-awareness through local volunteers. • Phase II – o Diversify our activity to have a greater impact on underprivileged families. o Develop a long term Helpline center for continuous support. o Sustained coaching and counselling services on Health, Social and Economic structures. o Implement a continuous assessment/feedback system for sustained development.
