Sardar Farms

Sardar Farm located 28 Kms from Jaipur is spread in 20 acres of acricultural land. Goat farming was started at the farm in year 2012 with 60 goats. The farm does its own rearing of Sirohi breed males which are best adapted to the climatic conditions and are quite resistant to diseases. Hand picked stock is stall fed on nutritious concentrates and nutritive green and dried fodder. The flock is provided grains of BarleyMaizeGramsBajra and Methi procured from market to keep the feeding cost effective ' chilka' and 'chuni' of pulses is sourced from Dal Mills near Jaipur. In the farm 15 acres are solely kept for growing crops for the flock. The fodder raised on our farm mainly comprises Oats and Alfa Alfa(Lucerne) which contain high percentage of Proteins. During the kharif season Bajra is sown in some area and used as green fodder. To keep the cost of the produce low mechanised harvesting is undertaken by way of Tractor mounted Reaper as manual cutting involves lot of labour. Semi dried fodder after achieving permissible moisture is collected and made into bundles which are either kept in barn or stacked in the open and covered with water proof tarpaulins. In order to keep the stock in good health the Farm is visited by Veterinary doctors and any ailment is timely treated.The farm was able to provide 88 bakra for Qurani on Eid-ul-Zuha in 2013. By maitaining top quality standards the use of modern marketing methods and the internet the farm sold over 300 high quality Qurbani bakaras for Eid-ul-Zuha in 2014. In view of increasing demand and popularity the farm supplied more than 400 Bakra for qurbani during Eid-ul-Zuha2015.This year i.e;2016 we expect to exceed target of 500 Bakra.
