Sarnia Community Foundation

We work with donors to grow and manage permanent and short term funds. Each fund at the SCF is unique and reflects the interests of the individual(s), company or agency who has chosen to make a lasting difference in our community. We make grants to projects and programmes managed by organizations dedicated to making the community a better place. We support arts, culture & heritage, community well being, children, youth & families, environment & animal welfare, health, wellness & recreation, and literacy, education & employment. We support leadership initiatives in the community by providing a platform for emerging ideas, assisting community agencies with expertise in finance and policy development while promoting the not for profit or social impact sector. We aim to respond to community issues and needs now and in the future. Since our first day of operation in 1983 we have made an impact on over 150 local organizations and thousands of people in the community. We’ve returned more than five million dollars through grants, scholarships and projects to our community.
