Nestled at the foot of the mountain after which it is named, Saronsberg wine estate is a contemporary addition to the rich heritage of Tulbagh valley – an ancient wine region situated 120 kms north-east of Cape Town. Below seven towering oak trees, history and progress harmonise in Saronsberg’s avante-garde tasting room, from where visitors can view the cutting-edge fermentation cellar, the rustic maturation cellar and the upstairs gallery that is home to our diverse collection of art. Since the first harvest in 2004, winemaker – and Cape Winemakers Guild member – Dewaldt Heyns has applied a philosophy of fruit-driven elegance that motivates every step in the winemaking process. In the Saronsberg range, this approach finds expression in bold wines with powerful fruit components integrated with well-structured tannins. Contrasting styles, the Provenance range includes accessible wines with expressive fruit, refined balance and soft tannins that reflect the true versatility of Saronsberg’s terroir.
