Saskbooks

SaskBooks is a not-for-profit Cultural/Creative Industries Sector Organisation working on behalf of book publishers in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. We provide semi-annual Professional Development Seminars and networking sessions, as well as marketing and sales assistance at many trade shows and conferences throughout Canada each year. We participate in conferences such as the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences, trade shows, and Library Association conferences, among others. At these displays, we highlight and sell our publisher members' books, thus raising awareness of Saskatchewan books. We offer preview book boxes to schools and libraries at an educational discount, and we will also speak to teachers, librarians, and/or students about the publishing industry. We produce an annual catalogue of Saskatchewan books, and we promote our members' books through our online bookstore at We advocate to all levels of government on behalf of the Cultural/Creative Industries and about book publishing. Our membership also includes non-publishers such as designers, editors, independent bookshops, and printers. SaskBooks is not a publisher.
