Sasmfos

The South African Society of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeons (SASMFOS) is a non-profit member-based association offering unique medical and dental specialist skills in South Africa and abroad. Our members represent the surgical branch of both medicine and dentistry, and are concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases which affect the mouth, jaws, face and neck. We aim to represent our surgeons and to engage, on their behalf, with medical aid funds to facilitate coverage of medical procedures, hospitals, healthcare providers, patients and regulatory authorities. We provide support on best practice management, as well as further education, research, professional development and insight into innovation trends in the industry. Our advisory services include negotiations on applicable tariffs and fees, and we provide guidance on regulatory and legislative developments which may have an impact on the public and the healthcare profession at large.
