Sasta’s home is tucked away in one of the last remaining wilderness areas of Northern Europe, surrounded by old-growth forests, rolling hills and crystal lakes. Almost right outside Sasta's Main office lie the wide open hunting grounds of bears, wolves and wolverines. Sasta’s expertise and knowledge are rooted in the experience of decades of living in this wild nature of Northeast Finland. On that rugged and strong ground of Nurmes, Sasta grew to be an authentic outdoor brand. Our founder Urpo Saastamoinen, a great outdoor enthusiast, a hunter and fisherman, saw a great need for a proper outdoor clothing with uncompromising quality. This is the foundation for the very first hunting outfit of Sasta - born in 1969. Ever since, Sasta has concentrated on the art of creating highly functional outdoor apparel. Today, Sasta products are designed where they are used, in hands of Sasta’s heirs, continuing the heritage.
