The Save by Seva foundation aims to satisfy the need for psychological healthcare of freed child slaves, who suffer from complex traumas. Vision Everyone should have the chance to develop themselves and progress in life, in order to create a good and satisfying future. Mission Marginalise psychological symptoms caused by traumatising events, to prevent them from blocking future growth and development of the children. Strategy Short term: sending a qualified therapist (Rishma Khubsing) to the ‘Bal Ashram’ care center in Jaipur, India for giving trauma treatment. Long term: training local talent in giving the treatments independently, thereby creating a sustainable solution. The Save by Seva Foundation was founded in 2015 and directly started with Project Dawn. Project Dawn is our first step into achieving our mission. We will be sending a qualified therapist to Kailash Satyarthi’s ashram in Jaipur, India for the duration of three months. The intended effect of three months of treatment is revealed in the project name: leaving darker thoughts behind for light and happy ones. Project Dawn consists of several phases: 1. Setup collaboration with Kailash Satyarthi’s organisation (done). Fundraising campaign to finance this project. Sending our therapist to India from September till December 2016 to give treatment to the children. Evaluate and report treatment results. Based on the results of Project Dawn, our next project will involve training local therapists to create a sustainable solution. For more information please visit our website
