Save Our Planet

Welcome to our site! Save Our Planet is an environmental non-profit dedicated to promoting sustainable development through scientific research and the formation of young leaders. Our three main pillars are massive beach clean-ups, scientific research, and environmental education. These are divided into 4 main programs. Massive clean-ups program: Organized beach cleanups involving 2300+ participants; convinced businesses for funding; delivered awareness speeches for volunteers; partnered with 15+ schools, churches, non-profits, and city worker units. Scientific Research Program: Researched ocean pollution at Marquez beach, the most polluted one in Peru, under the guidance of Ph.D. Lyda Harris. For the different stages of the investigation, we partnered with the Marquez community council & the National Agrarian University (UNALM). Thanks to its innovative approach, we received financial grants from Captain Planet Foundation. Currently, we are in the process of presenting this research to decision-makers and increasing public awareness. Environmental education program: Recorded 4+ vlogs on some of the most polluted places on Earth located in Peru (Cerro de Pasco and La Oroya); inspired 200+ international young people to create eco-campaigns through online conferences; integrated 30+ Peruvian middle-schoolers to ecology through science talks; mentored 30+ Indian youth on sustainability through workshops. Personal Growth program: Organized 4+ weekly workshops, which engaged 380+ attendees, feat. leadership and personal growth specialists.
