Saving Our Daughters

The mission of Saving Our Daughters (SOD) is to support adolescent girls in overcoming social barriers that prevent them from thriving such as bullying, safe dating, violence, and low self-esteem; SOD uses art, entertainment, and other creative industries as a vehicle to encourage youth and advance this mission SOD’s key program is the Keke Palmer Saving Our Cinderellas Arts Program. Within the scope of this program, participants build positive peer relationships, while strengthening self-esteem through four sub-program components: The Theater and Acting Program, storytime Sessions Project, Sew Fly Sky Sewing and Entrepreneurship Program, and the Culinary Arts Program. Each sub-program provides unique programming that instills characteristics of self-esteem through the arts, entertainment, and virtual mentoring.
