School Farms Network
The SFN provides advice and information for new and existing school farms (all educational settings from pre-school to FE and including PRUs and special schools), and promotes mutual support between practitioners. Information includes a publication Get Your hands Dirty. The first school farms conference was held in July 2011; the next in London on 5/6 July 2013. If you are thinking of setting up a school farm, or would just like to find out more, please get in touch. There are now 102 established school farms and over 117 schools actively looking to start rearing farm livestock. Opening celebrations for the 100th school farm took place in Birkenhead on 12 March 2013. ffi: ian@schoolfarms.org.uk 01373 302204 / 07939 230053
