Science Oxford

Science Oxford is part of The Oxford Trust and delivers STEM education and engagement programmes that spark curiosity, cultivate a lifelong love of science and lay the foundations of science learning. We want to show young people that science is exciting, accessible and can open the doors to rewarding STEM careers. To do this, our experienced Science Oxford team provides inclusive, hands-on STEM activities and experiences for primary and secondary students, families with young children and community groups. Our activities are run at the Science Oxford Centre in Headington, Oxford – the UK’s first indoor-outdoor hands-on science education centre for early years and primary-aged children – as well as in schools and communities in our region. As regional experts in primary science education, Science Oxford also provides a wealth of professional development opportunities for teachers. The Oxford Trust is an independent charitable trust, established 40 years ago by entrepreneurs the late Sir Martin and Lady Audrey Wood. The Trust’s mission is simple: to “encourage the pursuit of science” through its innovation, education and engagement programmes.
