Scion Networks is a virtual team of experienced communications and training professionals who design, develop, and deliver custom adult learning solutions for corporate and governmental organizations on a project basis. We typically serve organizations that have training needs for which in-house resources lack skills or time, supporting them in such areas as- Instructional Design: Creating self-paced, instructor-led, and blended courses that incorporate proven industry standards to deliver the most effective learner experiences- Learning Development: Developing elearning courses based on the latest technologies to maximize learner engagement and retention- Virtual Classrooms: Designing and supporting webinars that let instructors focus on delivering their content while we ensure smooth and interactive event facilitation- Project Management: Managing agile training initiatives through inception, analysis, design, development, deployment, and evaluation - on time and on budget. What's in a Name? According to Wikipedia: “. graftage is a horticultural technique whereby tissues of plants are joined so as to continue their growth together. The upper part of the combined plant is called the scion while the lower part is called the rootstock.” When founding the company during the early days of the Internet (San Francisco, 1995), our founders chose this metaphor to illustrate our ability to join traditional communications best practices (rootstock) to the then new World Wide Web (scion). Today, Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are the new things, but the metaphor continues to serve us well as we meld our practical experience with our passion for new technologies and learning paradigms. In business for more than 25 years, we are proud to say we were "virtual" before virtual was cool. We plan to remain at the forefront of industry innovation for years to come.
