Scleroderma Atlantic

Scleroderma Atlantic is a grassroots organization, committed to enriching the lives of Atlantic Canadian's living with scleroderma through education, patient support, advocacy and research. The origins of Scleroderma Atlantic began when Mary Beth Clark started hosting scleroderma support groups in 1989 through the Arthritis Society. Mary Beth went on to become a founder of Scleroderma Canada in In 2010, Halifax hosted the Scleroderma Canada conference. This conference brought enough dedicated, regional people together to start the Scleroderma Society of Nova Scotia, which was incorporated in 2013. In May of 2020, the society undertook a large expansion to form Scleroderma Atlantic. Our society is now committed to providing education, advocacy, support, and resources to all of the Atlantic provinces including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
