Scorpio Rising

Scorpio Rising is an electro rock band from Austin, Texas, whose recordings and intense live performances have made them one of Austin’s premiere entertainment commodities. Hailed as one of Austin’s best, they placed as #1 in the 15-16' Austin Music Awards. Scorpio Risings fans have likened their sound to The Rolling Stones meet Scissor Sisters, polished with a touch of Motown The band has built a diverse and loyal fan base playing consistently in the Texas region. Some appearances include: the Central Texas State Fair, SXSW showcases, Annual GoGirls Music Fest, Art Outside, Pecan Street Festival, Eeyores birthday party, Annual Austin Corn Lovers Fiesta, Bay Jammin' Concert and Cinema Series - Corpus Christi TX, Annual DaveFest, Pocket FishRmen Fishfry and ATX Cat Punks Fest. Scorpio Risings debut recording, Scorpio Tales was written, recorded, and produced by Wonderbred and Madame Scorpio. Their sophomore effort, Vain Bastard was a full band effort and included songs Get It Up and Eerie, which have both enjoyed publishing success and can be heard on The Discovery Network, a compilation CD release from the WB network, clothing ads, and video game song distribution. In July 2008, the band released Feels Good, their song "Always Come Back" was featured in the 2009 movie Vitreous Floaters. The Last One Standing, was released in May 2010 after Madame Scorpio battled Breast Cancer. The band recorded "Love Song" by The Dicks, for the Dicks from Texas and Friends CD, which was released along with the movie premiere in 2015. In late October of 2016 the band released the EP “Surgical Strike”, which has picked up momentum with various bloggers, podcast, and musical social site sales. “Boom Boom Heart Attack” from Surgical Strike was used as the musical score for New York Based film “Chasers”. Followed by Six Pack, released in 2018, and during Covid Lockdown,"Madame Scorpio - Six Months was written, recorded and released on all music channels. MORE TO COME!
