In 2012 she was appointed President of The Law Society and in 2013 was awarded Commander of the British Empire for her valued contribution in the legal sector. Lucy was the House of Lords Commissioner for Standards from 2016-2021. She is the Co-Chair of the Legal Aid and Access to Justice Committee of the International Bar Association, was also a commissioner with the Judicial Appointments Committee and, as well as being a Tribunal Judge, she also sits as a Judge for the Court of Protection.
