Emphasises the importance of environmental stewardship, Scouts encourages young people to appreciate and protect the natural world, and to “leave only footprints”. By engaging with their local communities and undertaking meaningful projects, Scouts also learn the value of giving back and making a positive impact on the world around them. Scouting in South Australia is a dynamic and multifaceted program that provides young people with valuable opportunities for personal growth, while also promoting important values and contributing to the greater good. Scouts Recycling Centres first opened back in 1978 to help South Australians keep their community, and the planet, clean. Now, with 12 locations across Australia, we’re still going strong.
