We have the people, the locations and the resources. As a film office, Screen Wexford’s focus includes sharing the abundance of fabulous locations offered by the county, along with facilitating local, national and international productions. We are heavily invested in the growth and development of our local crew base through the design and delivery of a range of world-class training programmes. County Wexford’s extraordinary visual richness is no secret, the area has been attracting filmmakers for decades. We have been home to major productions such as ‘Saving Private Ryan’, ‘The Lodgers’ and the more recent Oscar nominated ‘Brooklyn’. Boasting a stunning and varied landscape of rich Norman Castles and maritime heritage as well as a wide variety of idyllic villages and modern urban locations. With over 250 km of spectacular coastline, it is hardly surprising that Steven Spielberg chose to shoot his breath-taking Saving Private Ryan beach scenes in Curracloe, north of Wexford Town.
