SCRUFFMOUTH is the stage name (business, brand, company) for KEVAN ANTHONY CAMERON, founder, owner, and director of BLACK DOT ROOTS AND CULTURE COLLECTIVE. As an independent creative professional for film/tv/new media; and the literary and performing arts, Black Dot Roots and Culture Collective (BDRCC) serves to produce, publish, and administer goods and services researched, created, and developed by Kevan "Scruffmouth" Cameron. BDRCC has produced HOGAN'S ALLEY POETRY FESTIVAL (2011-2014) with gracious support from Canada Council for the Arts. Scruffmouth published SPOKEN NOTEBOOK (2011-2021) with gracious support from Canada Council for the Arts. Through BDRCC, Kevan Anthony Cameron has curated numerous events, programs, workshops, seminars, forums, festivals, and performances that celebrate indigenous peoples of African descent at home in Canada and abroad in the Diaspora.
