Search Press wins two awards in the 2015 IPG Independent Publishing Awards, Independent Publisher of the Year and Specialist Consumer Publisher of the Year. Fox Williams Independent Publisher of the Year Search Press is the first ever specialist consumer publisher to win this overall Award. It comes in its 45th year, and recognises its concerted efforts to grow sales and master its niche of publishing."In a competitive market, Search Press did exceptionally well in 2014. It shows a real passion for its books, respect for its authors, a hunger for sales and great leadership," said the judges."To dominate a competitive sector in the way it does is an outstanding feat." 2. IPG Specialist Consumer Publisher of the Year Search Press had a standout year in 2014, substantially increasing its market share and adding new retail accounts. The year also saw it revamp its website and build new partnerships. Judges also admired its in-house distribution and customer service."Search Press is creative and proactive and constantly seeks to learn and improve." Search Press MD, Martin de la Bedoyere, and Director, Caroline de la Bedoyere, attended the dinner and were honoured and surprised to win both awards. In his unprepared acceptance speech, Martin de la Bedoyere said,"I want to thank all the staff at Search Press for their hard work in making the company the success that it is, and these awards are for them." He also thanked his mother Lotti, for her vision in starting the company in the first place and went on to say,"Search Press is very proud to be truly independent." Search Press publishes and distributes practical art, craft and textile books for amateur and professional artists, hobbyists, craftspeople, textile artists, needlecrafters, designers. The books are mainly project/demonstration based, illustrated, informative and inspirational. Markets are international and Search Press has offices in America and Australia.
