Sector Matters

Sector Matters was established by NICVA in November 2009 and is Northern Ireland’s first social economy business which provides a range of cost effective, outsourced support services. These services include strategic support, fundraising, HR, finance and management support services. Sector Matters is profit making but not profit taking. The money we make supports the work of NICVA and its work with the voluntary and community sector in achieving progressive social change. Our services are delivered by a locally-based team of people who have years of experience in training, facilitation, senior management, fundraising, HR, finance and business support. Sector Matters currently employs 2 full time employees and 1 part-time member of staff. Sector Matters also has access to an extremely wide body of expertise, skills and knowledge in the form of NICVA staff. Furthermore, it retains a set of associates whose expert skills we can draw upon to deliver on specialist projects. All members of our team have worked in NICVA and in other voluntary organisations prior to joining Sector Matters so in addition to our close ties with NICVA, we have an in-depth knowledge of the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland.
