Graphic recording is when a visual notetaker like me creates live illustrations of a group’s conversation or of a keynote speech by drawing on a large piece of paper, on an iPad, or on a presentation board. The visual capturing of people's conversations—in words and drawings—can be a catalyst for generating new ideas, for aiding comprehension, or to help people see emerging patterns in group interactions. These live illustrations serve as a visual map of the event and allows the group's collective work to be better understood, remembered and to be shared with others.
