Seecing A Path Forward For Diabetes

SeeCing A Path Forward For Diabetes was founded in 2023 by a few college students from The University of Southern California. Realizing USC did not have a student-run diabetes organization, this organization was established. According to the 2015 Los Angeles County Health Survey, an estimated LA County adults (9.8%) have been diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetic First-Aid is something many do not know how to perform, nor is it taught in schools, though, for instance, most diabetics experience hypoglycemia 2 times per week, which can result in hypoglycemic comas. This organization's mission is to therefore, teach how to intervene during hypoglycemic (and hyperglycemic) attacks, raise awareness of diabetes, promote the treatment of diabetes, and prevent the onset of diabetes, in Los Angeles, through education workshops, social media, charity work, local involvement, and guest-speaker seminars.
