Society of Exploration Geophysicists ITERA Student Chapter (SEG ITERA SC) is a dynamic and non-profit organization established in April 25th 2019 at the Sumatera Institute of Technology (ITERA). Under the guidance of our esteemed faculty advisor, Andri Yadi Paembonan, S.Si, M.Sc, we are dedicated to fostering a community of geophysical enthusiasts and students pursuing Geophysical Engineering. Our mission extends beyond the classroom, aiming to connect and empower students interested in the fascinating field of Geophysical Engineering. At SEG ITERA SC, we prioritize both soft skills and hard skills development, creating a platform for students to enhance their expertise and contribute to the global discourse in geophysics. Through a diverse range of activities such as seminars, workshops, field trips, social initiatives, courses, and more, we strive to broaden our members' knowledge and impact. Our commitment is not only to the national geophysics arena but also to the global geophysics community. We have achieved numerous milestones in our brief existence, and we continue to push boundaries, providing our members with valuable opportunities for growth, collaboration, and professional development.
