Seichou Karate® offers powerful Japanese martial and cultural arts instruction to adults and children in separate classes at our beautiful, serene headquarters in Old Town Alexandria, VA. Our name means “growth” in Japanese. So, we teach powerful self-defense and life-enhancing cultural programs that keep our students physically and mentally fit and provide them with self-confidence to achieve ambitious goals in their personal and professional lives. MARTIAL ARTS Our core curriculum combines traditional Japanese karate (standing strikes and blocks, movement patterns, and sparring) with cutting-edge throws, grappling, and submission holds. CULTURAL ARTS Additionally, unlike any of our competitors, we also offer Japanese language, calligraphy and flower arranging to balance our rigorous martial arts training.
