We are a small startup changing the way you think about buying and selling goods. Founded with the idea of making it easier to sell things to your friends, we created the mobile platform Selbi. When we kept getting inundated with group texts and Facebook posts from our friends moving and wanting to sell their things, we knew we had an opportunity to create something amazing. Why the name Selbi? There isn't some magical formula for our name. Selbi (pronounced 'sell-be'), came from combining Sell and Buy. We liked how Selbi sounded and wound up keeping the name. Sometimes the easiest and most obvious name-generator is the best! How did Selbi get started? Like we mentioned above, Selbi came from the idea that selling to your friends is favored over selling to random strangers on Craigslist. We did lots and lots of market research and discovered an opportunity that we believed we could make a difference in. It hasn't been easy, but we believe we are making things easier for our users.
