Select Healthy Mind Ltd was founded in 2013 by Clinical Director, Psychologist and Psychotherapist Barbara Paczkowska MSc. CBT, BSc.(Hons). Barbara’s aim was to create a Practice focused towards ‘individual needs’ rather than simply addressing any ‘label’ or ‘symptom’. Her career has taken her from excelling at senior management level as a hi-intensity CBT Therapist in the NHS (BABCP accredited) & to ‘Consultant level Training’ as an EMDR Therapist (EMDR UK & Ireland). She is also a recognised ‘Honours member’ of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a current member of EMDRIA. ‘Select’ become recognised as one of the Royal Counties leading ‘family focused’ therapy clinics after Barbara was joined by Joanna Prior Psychotherapist & Counsellor MSc,BSc, CDMDTP, CCTP I-II, CATP, CFTP, C- PD, Pg.Cert, Pg.Dip,(MBACP) Today the Clinic is based in Sun Close which is just off of Eton High St. In it’s own private office space. Select’ continues however to operate as a small yet dedicated partnership of professional Psychotherapists each bringing together differing yet complimentary skills and knowledge. ‘Select’ treats clients of all ages and backgrounds using a variety of focused based therapies - all proven effective in alleviating a host of emotional, personal and complex psychological conditions. Joanna has also worked in mainland Europe - developing her knowledge and skills set abroad; this valuable experience has enhanced her knowledge and training - she excels at working with young people in particular and the diversity of clients ‘Select’ now accepts keeps the clinic at the forefront of therapeutic care.
