The company was started by naturalist author and photographer David Horwell. He lived and worked as a guide in the Galapagos when tourism was taking-off in the late 1970’s. Later he travelled and free-lanced throughout Latin America as a photographer and started the forerunner of this company ‘Galapagos Adventure Tours’.
