SWBB is a practical and research-based infant mental health training package for practitioners. We distil current infant mental health research, using concrete practises and common language, to raise awareness of the impact of first relationships on long-term mental health. We achieve this by using: 1. Combination of craft and science drawing from: neuroscience education, circle of security, infant mental health, newborn behavioural observation, attachment theory, mindfulness 2. Linking early brain development with long term mental health 3. Using common and accessible language 4. Clear and actionable strategies for practitioners The World Health Organisation (WHO) predicts that depression in adults will soon be reaching epidemic proportions. Vulnerability to depression and anxiety begins in infancy. Poor mental health impacts how a person feels, thinks, behaves, and interacts with others.
