Founded in 1966 as Knogo Corporation, our company has deep roots in the Electronic Article Surveillance Industry. Sentry Custom Security purchased Knogo North America in 1996 and ID Systems in 2004. Both Knogo and ID Systems specialized in anti-theft technology and self-service solutions, in addition to servicing and consulting for libraries all over the world. The companies now operate under a single corporate structure as Sentry Custom Security, which maintains the Knogo trademark. Our companies have over 40 years of combined experience developing specialized products for the library marketplace. Sentry manufactures security and information management systems for libraries using in-house engineers who have years of product development experience. The company has developed extensive software engineering expertise resulting in market-leading self-service features. Sidekick™, the software bundled with QuickCheck™, tracks usage statistics, operational efficiency, network status, and hardware status. Sentry Custom Security also manufactures custom security labels that are compatible with 3M library security systems, and each year sells millions of labels worldwide.
