Serates is a shuttle fabric factory founded in Como's textile district in 1977. The attention to design and research into materials distinguish the company, which was first established as a weaving mill specialising in producing technical fabrics, and today is an international reference point for sportswear and luxury clothing brands- EXPERIENCE Serates has over 40 years' experience in the textile sector, which means an immense historical archive of fabrics to draw upon and solid expertise that comes from constantly improving methods and techniques to achieve the highest levels of quality. All of this is embedded in our history and is the value we offer our customers- RESEARCH Studying materials is in our DNA. The process of researching them perfects and enriches our knowledge of textile fibres, weaves, the chemistry of dyeing and finishing techniques. Our fabric collection comes first from study and then from mixing all these elements- AN AGILE ORGANISATION Serates does not take inspiration from business school books but has a simple organisational model, typical of small Italian companies founded in the 1970s, which we have preserved and perfected to maximise our industrial agility and effectiveness. We work in an environment of widespread specialisation, where the work is in the hands of experts and operators who each contribute at the stage where their skills are required.
