Serve The Future Az

Serve the Future AZ is a youth-enriching nonprofit with the mission to empower young people from underserved communities by building self-confidence, perseverance, and responsibility through the sport of tennis. Since our founding in 2021, we have grown from serving just a handful of students to positively impacting over 850 youth in the past year alone. Our reach continues to expand through strong partnerships, including with the Phoenix Union High School District and its feeder schools, representing more than students—95% from minority backgrounds and 78% qualifying for free and reduced lunch. At Serve the Future AZ, tennis is more than a sport—it’s a pathway to skill-building, leadership, and opportunity. We provide: Access to elite coaching and consistent mentorship Enrichment experiences such as workshops and guest speakers Essential resources such as racquets, shoes, and clothing Opportunities to participate in events and watch live professional tennis Our programs are designed to strengthen both athletic ability and life skills, ensuring that students leave the court with tools that will serve them in school, relationships, and future careers. Serve the Future AZ is led by Leslie Banks, an award-winning tennis professional and nonprofit leader, committed to building equity and opportunity for the next generation. We are dedicated to scaling our programs to reach even more youth in the years ahead, creating lasting community impact through tennis, mentorship, and education.
