Sethu Foundation

Sethu Foundation is a Non-Profit Company, registered under Section 8 of the Indian Companies Act, 2013. We work with Children, Women, Families, for education, Social Entrepreneurship, Livelihoods, sustainability, Environment, Conservation, Animals and Plants etc. Chetna (Consciousness) – Nurturing Children Under Chetna, the Foundation works with 500+ children from neighbouring communities and teach them creative arts and crafts, help them with their education and provide them with the right resources and exposure to develop relevant skills pertinent to the current times. Alaigal (Waves) – Empowering Women Alaigal programme runs several training and development initiatives for women. Over 1100 women across local communities in Chennai are identified, evaluated, and are enrolled in skill-based training depending on their aptitude levels. Kalpavriksha – Shop and Donate An e-commerce platform which adopts the shop and donate concept, Kalpavriksha’s profit margin will completely go towards our various activities in the foundation. The abiding theme of Sethu Foundation is recognition of “Unity of Life”. We recognise the interconnectedness and interdependence of all life forms with each other and with the life sustaining non-living environment.
