The South Florida American Health Information Management Association (SFHIMA) is the premier association of health information management (HIM) professionals living in the South Florida Region. SFHIMA's more than 1,200 members are dedicated to the effective management of personal health information required to deliver quality healthcare to the public. SFHIMA is committed to advancing the HIM profession in an increasingly electronic and global environment through leadership in advocacy throughout South Florida, while providing its members with education, certification information/updates, networking opportunities and lifelong learning. Mission Statement : To provide a structure that will ensure interaction and communication, improve quality, coordinate health information and information systems in the healthcare industry for the welfare of the public.
