SG Controls combines extensive process knowledge with engineering and software expertise to produce a full range of tools for the manufacture of optical fibre. Established in 1979, SG Controls worked in partnership with the pioneers of optical fibre research in the UK to refine preform production systems together with the fibre draw process. The Fibre Optic Industry evolved, became worldwide and SG Controls played a significant role in the supply of optical fibre manufacturing equipment together with important process knowledge to all countries investing in this highly specialised fabrication process. Continued development using in house facilities means that today, SG Controls still supplies, upgrades and services equipment around the world. The experience and knowledge acquired over the last 30 years, together with the expertise of our Process Engineers, Mechanical, Electrical and Software Designers, creates a unique resource which blends together to form one of the most comprehensive and highly regarded product ranges available to the Fibre Optic Manufacturing Industry.
