Sgm Shipping

SGM is an independent, principal-backed maritime investment and asset-management house based in Nyon, Switzerland. The firm was established in 2011, continuing a maritime lineage that traces back to 1973, when the group began operating bulk carriers on transatlantic grain trades. We invest where we operate and operate what we own. Across the group and its predecessor companies, that heritage spans more than USD 2 billion in transactions and over 100 vessels — including bulk carriers, product and chemical tankers, offshore and specialized assets. What we do: • Deal sponsorship & co-investment: we originate and structure maritime opportunities deal by deal, alongside aligned partners, committing proprietary capital in every transaction. • Asset management mandates: commercial, technical and financial management of maritime assets for owners and institutional investors, with a hands-on operator approach. • Strategic advisory: selective engagements in restructurings, transactions and operational transformation. Why SGM: • Principal capital: we deploy our own capital in every transaction. Alignment is structural. • Operating capability: from investment thesis to operational delivery. Operational capability is not support infrastructure — it is our investment edge. • Experience: decades of maritime activity across the group, through changing markets. We believe the best opportunities begin with a direct conversation.
