Sgs Energy

Founded in 2010, SunGod Solar Ltd (as we were originally known) set out to help people power their homes and businesses in a smarter, cleaner way. What began as a small solar panel business in Kent has grown into a trusted provider of complete renewable energy systems across the South East and Aberdeenshire. In 2013, Jonathan Howes became a director of the company after subcontracting for several years. He introduced air source heat pumps to the business, followed by solar battery storage, EV chargers, thermal energy storage, and MVHR systems. His brother, Matt, joined two years later and is now also a director, reinforcing the family-run nature of the company and the values it was built on. Today, SGS Energy is a one-stop shop for renewable energy solutions, delivering in-house design, installation, and maintenance. Our team includes specialist electricians and heating engineers, so every installation is handled by qualified professionals. This approach allows us to support homeowners, landlords, schools, commercial property owners, councils, and hospitals with the same dependable service. We’re accredited by leading industry bodies, including MCS, Constructionline Gold, NICEIC, NAPIT, TrustMark, Gas Safe, and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. We’re also proud to be Octopus Trusted Partners, further reflecting our focus on quality, safety, and sustainability, giving customers confidence that their system is in experienced hands. Clients often tell us how straightforward we make the process. One homeowner shared: “Nothing but huge praise for all the folks at SGS Energy. The whole process from start to finish was completely painless. We are completely happy with our solar/battery installation. Just wish we had done it sooner.” Smarter, cleaner energy is already a reality for hundreds of customers. If you’d like to explore what that might look like for your home or business, we’re always happy to talk and provide a tailored quote.
