The firm’s founder, Dan Shapiro, has 30 years of experience counseling clients on complex matters including completing multi-million dollar construction projects, securing zoning entitlements before plan commissions and zoning boards, and negotiating large-scale property sales. Mr. Shapiro has also represented his clients at all judicial levels in Illinois including the Illinois Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Justin Silva is an attorney with Shapiro & Associates Law. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Silva worked at a national real estate development firm, specializing in condominium and mixed-use developments. His real estate experience dovetails with his law experience, facilitating his ability to provide clients with a unique and thorough understanding of the development process starting with land acquisition and concluding with property disposition. Ian Brown is the newest associate at Shapiro & Associates Law. With a comprehensive background in urban planning and land use policy, Mr. Brown represents developers, landowners, municipalities, and businesses on issues including real estate development, municipal regulations, and commercial litigation. Complex issues often require more than a traditional approach to problem solving. In such cases, Shapiro & Associates Law utilizes creative strategies while at the same time making sure it keeps the client's expectations in mind.
