Sharks Pacific

Sharks Pacific’s mission is to understand the importance of sharks in Pacific communities, and to advocate for the conservation and responsible management of sharks and the related marine environment through research, outreach, and advocacy. Sharks Pacific is working with Island communities, fishermen, policy makers, and scientists to understand sharks and rays in Pacific waters—and to create effective policies to protect vulnerable species. Through research, outreach, education and advocacy, we are working to understand the complex issues contributing to the decline of shark and ray populations and helping to create effective regulations that will protect them for future generations.
