Sharp As A Tack, Inc. creates and facilitates cognitive development programs for students and teacher grades K-8, utilizing the proven neurological, psychological and educational benefits of board games. Sharp As A Tack's main mission is to help students improve academic achievement by developing their cognitive abilities and gaining the important life skills that will lead to a lifetime of success in the classroom, in the community and within their families. Sharp As A Tack aims to foster an environment that will help improve students’ self-esteem, self-worth and self-confidence, as well as to provide a venue to develop interpersonal skills such as communication, cooperation, teamwork and leadership. all in a setting that is just plain fun. Sharp As A Tack is also an Illinois State Board of Education Approved Continuing Education Provider. We facilitate, host and develop workshops to help teachers use game play in their classrooms to develop, enhance and strengthen cognitive abilities. Earn CPDU's while having fun.
