Shashya Prabartana

Shashyaprabartana is a retail and online grocery store ensuring safe, nutritious and healthy food. We work closely with our farmer network, ensuring high quality grocery items and as well as ensuring the livelihood of the suppliers. We focus on biodiversity based ecological agriculture and oppose the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides in growing food. Our movement, known as the “Naya Krishi Andolon,” started in 1988, and our products were available only in rural markets during the early stage. In 2002, our first was available in Dhaka, in our Mohammadpur outlet. It is also a place for consumer education on safe food, nutrition and health campaigns. We along with our farmers support agricultural movement in Bangladesh that opposes the use of Western pesticides and genetically altered seeds.
