Sheba International is responsible for all international activities of Sheba Medical Center. We commercialize SMC's professional know how and training capacity. At Sheba, basic scientists and clinicians work in close synergy with leaders in industry and the high-tech world to develop new medical technologies and pharmaceuticals in proximity to the patient and for the direct benefit of the patient. The transfer of technology and the licensing of intellectual property are increasingly important components of our work. Sheba’s mega-global interaction, collaboration and cooperation with leading medical facilities and systems in the world has enriched our expertise, knowledge and experience that we are able to offer our partners. We provide consultations and analysis for healthcare facilities aimed to upgrade and improve healthcare systems at national, provincial and local levels around the world. Education and training are an integral part of Sheba's heritage. Leading professionals require the highest level of education and continuous updating and training. Sheba has develped an excellent knowledge with a first rate professional teaching staff. SMC has expertise in the development of policies and standards, implemention and command mechanisms, planning and conducting training programs and installing and utilizing advanced logistics and technologies. As an academic university hospital, professional education is a primary prerequisite for the optimal treatment of patients. At SMC we train all medical professions from undergraduate students to expert professors and have programs for the training of specialty and sub-specialty physicians in all fields of medicine. The Sheba campus also incorporates an academic school of nursing and training programs in 11 para-medical professions including physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, radiotherapy, social work and more.
