Shekere is a social enterprise dedicated to bring sustainable social changes by bridging the gap between the people at the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP) and the products and services that serve their needs. Our key business strengths are our pervasive use of ICT, our unique positioning, our holistic and “lean” approach, and the particular effort we put in after sale service for our clients. Through improved access to life-changing goods (e.g. solar lanterns, water purification technologies, efficient cook stoves,) and services (e.g. micro-insurance) our business addresses challenges in very divers areas: health, economic empowerment, gender equality, security, sanitation, and education. A Lot of people develop solutions, but do not focus on the way to bring to scale such solutions to those that need them most.
