Sheltered Yoga

Sheltered Yoga mission is to provide individuals of homeless and women’s shelters, alternative schools, prisons, outreach programs, transitional housing units, group homes, outpatient programs, rehabs, communities of people living in poverty and high crime, etc. with the necessary tools to help build their self-esteem, mental and behavioral health & wellness, self-worth, tolerance, compassion and create a positive ‘can do’ attitude through our engaging and fun curriculum. Our curriculum includes yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and mental and behavioral health & wellness tools that are taught using multiple intelligence & interdisciplinary pedagogies. We teach on location and train staff, teachers, and administration in our evidence-based, trauma-informed core curriculum.
